Abstract
Extinction behaviour of dry snow at microwave range up to 90 GHz is studied in this paper. Two extinction coefficient models based on strong fluctuation theory are used. A comparison between the theoretical values of extinction coefficient and literature-based experimental data is conducted. Phase matrices and scattering coefficients for spherical symmetric correlation function are derived. These formulas can be used in radiative transfer equations to calculate the emissivity of dry snow
