  • Abstract
It is critically important to define your objectives before setting up a Web site. Will your site simply provide information or conduct commercial transactions? The requirements for informational sites vary dramatically from those conducting electronic commerce transactions. These requirements dictate the costs of setting up and maintaining your Web site. Predicting the kind of load your site will experience is also important. You will have to consider how many users will visit your site as well as how graphics-rich your pages are. Predicting the load is not easy; however, you can select hardware that will provide you with the flexibility of making adjustments to meet the load
