Abstract
A rear-projection TV using a digital micro-mirror array has been developed. This paper describes the overview of its digital signal processing design, and introduces the signal processing techniques applied to the rear-projection TV system. Newly developed techniques realize a high quality image conversion to 1280×720 pixels from various inputs that include NTSC, HDTV and PC, and picture enhancement that uses image histogram data to control the picture enhancement level is applied
