Abstract :
Formula SAE-China will be held the first time in September, 2010. How to design a suitable front wing for a Formula SAE race car is discussed in this paper. First we choose a series of front wings and study their dynamics property in different attack angle by the method of CFD. Then we put two or three wings together to be assemble wings and study their property. The results are compared and analyzed together, and we choose the suitable one. The wing is finally successfully designed, which can perfectly achieve the design object. It can improve the dynamics and steering stability of the racing car. The paper can be used as the guide to design the wing for Formula SAE in the future.
