The Comprehensive Evaluation on the Service Level of the City Public Transport

Abstract :
The service of the public transportation business enterprise of a city is a key question to the company´s existence and development. There are several kinds of indexes about the evaluation of the public transport. The index of the evaluation about the concrete project does not mean the more, the better. The evaluation index should reflect the main and the comprehensive information. And each index should be independent, and easy to measure. In this paper, we first study the construction of evaluation system in the public transportation. Then according to the principle of the evaluation index system, we compare the domestic evaluation index of the service level in the public transportation system to that of aboard city. After that we can bring up the index of large cities in our country, and use weighted least square method to evaluate the weight of the index. In the end, we use both analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and weighted least square method to evaluation the actual service of the public transportation system of city. The result of our research is helpful to the evaluation the actual service level of public transportation system and to promote the actual service level of the public transportation system.
