Abstract
A new method based on a four-flux radiative transfer model has been developed to estimate multi-substance concentration even in red tide or blue tide areas. In this method, the concentration of the multi-substance concerned can be obtained simultaneously from the satellite image data by solving a non-linear inverse problem specified with the optical characteristics of each substance as pre-known parameters. The fundamental performance of the method was examined by applying it to numerically simulated image data
