The ISO 9000 series of Quality Management Standards (QMS) was published by the ISO in 1987 and have been adopted by the European Committee for Standardization (ECS) as the quality systems management standard for the European Community (EC). The authors describe what ISO 9000 is, what is involved in becoming ISO 9000 certified, including the experiences of Computer Products Inc., and the advantages of having ISO 9000 certification
