Abstract :
A digital signal processor (DSP) based real-time power supply quality measurement systems is described. The proposed system is centered around a Texas Instruments 32-b floating point TMS320C30 DSP evaluation board. The system is interfaced to an IBM-compatible computer. Voltage and current signals are continuously sampled, and harmonics, power factor, real power, reactive power, distortion factor, etc., are evaluated in real time. The proposed system is flexible and can be altered to perform various other functions. Experimental evaluation of the system shows excellent accuracy in the computed parameters
