  • Abstract
Thermal Analysis of a bus with rear engine compartment is carried out based on CFD in order to solving the problem of overheating. The temperature and flow field of the bus engine compartment is investigated at the most serious work conditions, full load hill climbing with low speed at hottest environment temperature. The reason for the overheating and the overheated zone is studied. Then the improvement of the cabin structure is proposed and verified. The simulation results shows that the improvement is efficient and overheated problem is no longer exist.
