Abstract :
A full-bridge topology was used to implement a family of DC-DC power converters which operate with zero voltage resonant transition (ZVRT) switching and a modified pulse width modulation technique at nominal output voltages ranging from 2.0 to 6.0 V DC at full load currents ranging from 1400 to 1000 A DC. Liquid-immersion cooling was used. The converter was packaged in a volume of 3×8×12 in. The output power density was 10 to 21 W/in3, depending on the output voltage. The input voltage range was from 250 to 400 V DC. Reasonable efficiency was obtained at low output voltages. A switching frequency of 110 kHz was used
