Abstract :
The augmented Lagrangian (ALAG) penalty function technique is used to optimize low-output voltage, offline full-bridge (FB) zero-voltage-switched (ZVS) pulse width modulated (PWM) converters. Various design tradeoffs, such as the ZVS range, the leakage inductance, and the switching frequency, are discussed. A 5 V, 325 W ZVS-FB-PWM converter was designed. The hardware implementation is used for extensive experimental verification
