Abstract :
The purpose of our project is to develop a robotic-assisted navigation system for cardiology interventions. This robot system also takes advantage of electromagnetic tracking technology to advance guidewire to target site automatically. A clinical workflow is presented and several related practical problems are discussed. An experiment on a thermal resin cavitary phantom is also introduced to examine the validity of the clinical workflow.
