Abstract :
The transient performance of the solid-state VAR compensator using voltage source inverter (self-controlled DC bus) is studied in this paper, when the system is transferred from full leading compensation to full lagging compensation and vice-versa according to the load requirements to achieve both leading and lagging compensation. The analysis is based on the space vector theory (d-q synchronous frame)
