  • Abstract
In this study, according to mechanism of soot and NOx formation, The authors selected ethanol and soot suppressor to improve atomization of the mixed fuel and to debase the temperature in cylinder. The authors optimized their harmonic proportion by making experiments. The results indicate that soot and NOx emission can be markedly reduced when engine fueled with the mixed fuel of optimized harmonic proportion, and CO emission can also be obviously reduced at low speeds and medium speeds when the power, consumption of fuel and HC emission are kept in a little changeable ranges. The optimized harmonic proportion can be applied when engine is fueled with biodiesel in low volume ratio in mixed fuel.
