Abstract :
The use of control systems as a means of structural protection against environmental loads, such as wind and earthquakes, has received considerable attention in recent years. Reliability is the core component toward the best performance of a control system. A possible strategy for evaluating the reliability of an active control system is presented moving from the evaluation of the reliability of each single component. A sensitivity analysis is also performed as a measure of the importance of each sub-system in the global reliability assessment
