  • Abstract
    A novel combined scroll compressor profile is proposed It consists some resemble profile units and per unit includes three sections of a big arc wrap, a small arc wrap and a straight-line wrap. So the profile is named as arc-arc-line unit combined profile. A prototype of scroll compressor with the arc-arc-line unit combined profile for automotive air conditioner is developed and its performance at variable speed is tested to testify the simulation correctness. The results show, at lower shaft speed with the speed increasing its refrigeration quantity and shaft power basically increases linearly, and at higher speed the increasing rate of the former gradually slows down, but the one of the latter gradually accelerates, there is an optimal value of its COP and volumetric efficiency.
