Abstract :
A new optical multimedia access transmission using compressive sensing (CS) technique is proposed. The CS can allow us to reduce the channel bandwidth of optical wired and wireless network. In this paper, a 256×256 grayscale image (10 Gb/s) with compression ratio of 20 % was transmitted and then reconstructed successfully through 20-km optical transmission. This means that the CS technique can be powerful candidate for solving the explosive data traffic in the optical wired and wireless access network.
