Abstract
When applied to electric power systems expert systems can automate many of the difficult and time-consuming tasks of power system analysis. Several expert system tools for analyzing electric power systems on a personal computer are described. By integrating expert technology with graphical online techniques, the user´s understanding of power system performance can be enhanced with visual indication of problem areas and system performance parameters
