Abstract
The world´s embracement of automotive safety features means that numerous challenges lie ahead for safety system and component suppliers. More specifically, semiconductor suppliers will be challenged as car makers push for increased supply, increased reliability and increased performance, all within the framework of decreasing cost. This article will discuss the demand increase for safety related semiconductors, the challenges that lie ahead for their suppliers and how these suppliers will respond to the challenges
