Abstract
Optical hybrid integration using a PLC platform leads to great progress in optoelectronic technology. Hybrid integration reduces costs of optical modules and also provides us with highly functional modules. Moreover, the platform will enable us to establish an OE multichip module which will be compatible with the electronic assembly hierarchy. This means that hybrid integration will help us to construct broadband optical networks in the multi-media era
