Abstract
This paper deals with nonlinear identification of a Diesel engine. A review of the GMDH theory is also presented. Because of its complexity, the fuel flow injected into the cylinders depends on many nonlinear interactions, That is why two methods well adapted to nonlinear systems has been used for the identification of the Diesel injected fuel flow
