A methodology for identifying the cause of failure for antifriction bearings used in electric motors is presented. An analysis of the corrective actions required to minimize or prevent reoccurrence of the problem is provided. Specific tabular material on bearing temperature is supplied, and bearing failure patterns are enumerated
