Abstract :
The implementation of solutions for wind energy conversion systems (WECS), requires simultaneously a technical and economical approach, this systems having as main demands - the assuring of reliability and of low production, implementation and maintenance costs. Therefore, they necessitate adequate control strategies and methods. In the paper there is conceived and presented an original method for the determination of permanent magnet synchronous generator´s efficiency by using measurements that were conducted at the manufacturer of the generator, together with an original simplified model of a wind turbine and of wind turbine - generator group. The methods for the determination of synchronous generator´s efficiency and of wind turbine´s mathematical models are based on the usage of regression functions of one or two variables. The main advantage of the proposed approach is the simplicity and robustness of the implementation, being easily portable to low-end microcontroller platforms. By considering the mathematical model of the wind turbine there can be elaborated a specific control strategy such as the planning control. The paper also presents comparative studies for the case of using regression functions of one, respectively two variables and there are stated the afferent conclusions.
