Abstract

NewsClipping is an indexing and aggregation application for the news domain that manages multimedia information (text, audio and audiovisual documents) without any manual annotation. The joint analysis of the text and audio from electronic newspapers, radio and TV channels provides automatic extracted information to create a multimedia news clipping. The web based interface of NewsClipping has been designed to fulfill the casual browsing paradigm.
