Abstract
A three-dimensional numerical model for exhaust manifold catalytic converter with oxygen sensors was setup and analyzed by computational fluid dynamics technique. The results showed that its pressure profile and temperature profile had no mutations or concentrated area. The front surface evenness indexes of Catalytic Converter was higher than 0.97, the ratio of grid cells´ maximum velocity and average velocity was less than 1.21. However, the oxygen sensor near the eddy current was not conducive to data collection. The model should be improved.
