  • Abstract
The airborne relay complex (ARC) was designed by NPO “SPURT” at NPO “ELAS” to work in the satellite communication system “BANKIR” within the geostationary satellite transponder (ST) “KUPON”. In the first instance, the ARC was designed in order to provide satellite communication for the Russian Federation Central Bank. However, the principles on which the ARC design is based, make it possible to set up multifunctional communication networks for various organizations, departments and companies. The main specifications of the ARC are given. The ARC represents a 24-channel 14/11 GHz band transponder with direct signal retransmission. By frequency band reuse, 24 channels with a 36 MHz bandwidth are realized
