Abstract :
A novel approach to visualise singular signals in faulted power systems is proposed. The wavelet transformation technique is applied to help monitor singular signals in the time dimension. Using the proposed scheme, singular signals in faulted power systems can be closely observed. The proposed method has been tested for the inspection of singular signals in faulted DC power systems and of the arc signals in grounding faults. The results demonstrate the merits of the proposed method for application
