Abstract
This paper presents a complex intelligent control structure and algorithms which incorporate multimode control and self-tuning PID control. This hybrid controller adjusts its structure in order to maintain good performance over a wide variation of plant operating conditions. Simulation evidences show that fast response with less overshoot, strong robustness and better steady-state accuracy can be obtained by the proposed control algorithms. Application of the above-mentioned algorithms to an industrial boiler deaerator is indicated
