Abstract
The 4-block H∞ control problem with infinite and finite jω-axis is discussed in this paper. Via the eigenstructures related to the infinite and finite jω-zeros, this paper extends the Doyle-Glover-Khargonekar-Francis (1989) approach to the H∞ control problem without the constraints on the infinite or finite jω-axis zeros. The necessary and sufficient conditions are proposed for checking its solvability by solving two reduced-order Riccati equations and examining matrix norm conditions related to jω-axis zeros
