Abstract
In many of the European Community Standards, defining even the measurements sets-up for radiated emissions and susceptibilities testings of electronic devices for verification of compliance, the structure to be tested, for tabletop equipment, has to be put on a dielectric table. Unfortunately a lot of problems in the higher part of the spectrum arise just due to the introduction of a wooden table, commonly considered as a dielectric table, in the testing area. In this paper these effects are addressed
