Abstract

The paper presents the activities carried out by the Telecommunication Networks Research Group at the University of Pisa on the use of Tablet PCs in University level courses belonging to the "Laurea" Degree and "Specialist Laurea" Degree in Telecommunication Engineering. The paper describes the software and hardware setup that was tested during these experiences; feedbacks from students and instructors are also presented. These experiences confirm that Tablet PCs offer a new opportunity for personalized proactive learning and act as a stimulus for the improvement of traditional teaching schemes.
