Abstract :
The microwave absorption properties of M-type hexagonal ferrite BaFe12-x(Ti0.5Mn0.5)×O19 composite have been investigated. An optimized TiMn substituted ferrite composite exhibited a wide absorption bandwidth nearly double that of conventional spinel ferrite composites in the X-band for both normal and 30° oblique incidence. The composite sheet exhibited exactly the expected absorption characteristics and this demonstrated the advantage of utilizing the ferrimagnetic resonance of M-type hexagonal ferrite for microwave absorbers
