Abstract
In the EMC community, the technical term “antenna factor” defines antenna transducer relation needed for making radiated emission measurements. It is a necessary element for the computation of field strength. Traditional antenna calibration methods include standard site, standard antenna and standard field methods. These are methods for regular antenna calibration. According to the authors; verification of Bronaugh and Osburn´s work, the GHz transverse electromagnetic (GTEM) cell could be used as a new tool for antenna calibration. This paper confirms the possibility of using a GTEM cell to calibrate a broadband antenna such as the log-periodic antenna, and offers a modification in order to improve the result
