Abstract :
It is very important to keep the measurement system stability for a good quality control process, and the control chart is a necessary tool for measurement system analysis. The ability to detect small shifts in process response of the three different control charts were compared in this paper: the traditional shewhart control chart, cumulative sum (CUSUM) and exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control chart. A case was studied and show that CUSUM and EWMA control chart are better in detecting small shifts of the process mean than traditional Shewhart control chart. But the Shewhart chart is more effective for the significant variations .
