Abstract
In this paper, an adaptation of the Java Urban Traffic Simulator (JUTS) for distributed computing environment is described. Because one of the main bottlenecks of any distributed application is the communication among its particular processes, the reduction of inter-process communication is introduced. The performance of the resulting communication protocol was intensively tested. The results of the tests are also part of this paper.
