Abstract
Preference is represented by a value on a continuous closed interval in this paper. Through the method of modeling and simulation of complex system, we investigate the influence of the range of the preference spectrum on the consensus in dynamic group decision-making. A mathematical rule is presented to describe the dynamic preference evolution in considering the interactions among group members. Simulation experiments show that the preference spectrum impacts greatly on the consensus in dynamic group decision-making, the same width of preference spectrum leads to the same evolution result, when the ratio of the width of initial preference spectrum to the confidence level is constant, the consensus performance remains invariable.
