Abstract
Information for the forecasting of earthquakes can be obtained by sounding the whole of the ionosphere disturbed by precursors, i.e. by realizing monitoring of the space-time parameters of the ionosphere over a wide range of heights and large areas, that is by using the ionosphere as a detector of events accompanying the earthquake preparation process. Regular measurements of the parameters of VLF-signals along the routes of different orientation and extention, passing near seismoactive regions, and the data of vertical sounding of ionosphere are analyzed
