Abstract :
In this paper, a software reconfigurable W-CDMA transceiver core called CDMAxTM for 3G applications is presented. The use of reconfigurable hardware, together with the adoption of a specific parameter-independent clocking strategy allows the combination of multi-standard operation together with a low power consumption. The CDMAxTM core combines several 3G air interfaces together with satellite navigation reception capabilities, and has the necessary flexibility to be future-proof for possible changes in the air interface standards
