Abstract
There are several reasons to explain why residential construction should depend on the population´s education structure and marriage structure. We used Taiwanese time series data to estimate the relationships between them. Our results indicate that large groups of divorce adults are associated with higher rates of residential construction. Also, education-related factors are the dominant factors that can drive the housing demand.
