Abstract
Bluetooth is a new technology that uses short-range radio links for data communication. It allows for the replacement of the many proprietary cables that connect one device to another with one universal radio link. Robustness, low complexity, low power and low cost are some of the features of Bluetooth. This paper develops a simulation model of the Bluetooth air interface. The developed model is used to evaluate the performance of Bluetooth under different channel types, packet types, and EBNR values. Recommendations for enhancing the performance of the model are also made.
