Abstract :
The use of space-frequency coding in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based broadband multi-antenna systems has been proposed. The design criteria for space-frequency codes derived by Bolcskei and Paulraj (see Proc. IEEE WCNC-2000, Chicago, IL, vol.1, p.1-6, 2000) are vastly different from the well-known design criteria for space-time codes. In this paper, we provide an explicit construction of a class of space-frequency codes which achieve full spatial and frequency diversity
