Abstract
Electrospinning was usually applied to form randomly oriented ultra fine fibers. This paper has demonstrated that an annulus fiber mat was received and the spinning jet can be affected by an insulating tube. Different tube diameters, different tube heights and different heights between nozzle and the target were chosen as the factors in order to know the process better. The fibers were oriented aligned when using PVC tubes with 5 cm and 7 cm in diameter. A fiber mat was collected in the tube with a 10 cm diameter and 3 cm height tube on the target. The results showed that diameter was little affected by using insulating tube. It was demonstrated that electrospinning with a PVC tube provide us a way to produce oriented fibers in large area more easily.
