  • Abstract
    This paper presents a method to estimate time and direction of arrival (TOA and DOA) of impulse radio ultra wideband (IR-UWB) system based on matrix pencil (MP) in a multipath communication channel. It is used to recover time and angle from the channel frequency response. This algorithm only requires a single channel estimate and can estimate TOA and DOA easier and faster. The results show that TOA and DOA can ben estimated precisely by the proposed method. It is efficient and simple way to estimate TOA and DOA for IR-UWB system.
