Abstract :
Space-frequency coded MIMO-OFDM wireless communication systems provide diversity and coding gains at high transmission rates. The practical implementation of such systems, however, requires the development of receiver structures with reasonable computational complexity. In this paper, we present a sphere decoding algorithm for space-frequency coded MIMO-OFDM systems. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provides considerable reduction in computation complexity as compared to other techniques without any performance degradation.
