Abstract
The effect of concatenated LDPC (low density parity check) code to improve the performance of turbo code is analyzed in this paper. Turbo code shows error floor at high SNR (signal to noise ratio) region. But LDPC code shows better performance than turbo code without error floor at high SNR. In addition, very simple decoding algorithm can be used for LDPC code. So the concatenation of LDPC and turbo code can be a good choice to get very low BER with low decoding complexity, especially for the next generation multimedia mobile communications.
