Abstract
A slab of the positive column of the Cs-Xe DC discharge has been employed as a 2-D sensor for real-time shadow projection millimeter-wave (MMW) imaging. MMW images are converted into visible images using the visible continuum from the plasma slab. Real-time shadow projection MMW images of test objects have been successfully obtained using 35.4 GHz millimeter waves for object illumination.
