Abstract
Providing diverse QoS requirements in multimedia networks is a challenging task. Under a long-range-dependent process, the loss rate does not decrease considerably as we increase the buffer size. We investigate the advantages of adopting a multi-priority selective discard mechanism over traditional two-priority mechanisms under a long-range-dependent process
