Abstract
The broadband integrated services digital network (B-ISDN) provides voice, data and video services, is supported by ATM technology, changing some aspects of the actual STM network, and has a signaling system for the switched virtual channel (SVC). The objective of this article is to present a signaling system that will support this network, including its inferior layers. Some comparisons with actual signaling systems and traffic contract considerations are also done
