Abstract :
In the past, we have reported on the development of an interactive software environment for the creation and maintenance of a dynamic digital image processing (DIP) teaching system: The “Khorosware DIP Learning Environment”. The environment was designed to be user friendly and to facilitate the creation of training material. This tool is being used to create courses in multi dimensional signal processing by researchers working together while geographically separated. In this paper, we present a digital image registration extension to the DIP Course. This extension depends on REGISTER, a new Khoros toolbox of image registration operators. This paper represents one of the first examples of user community participation and growth in the DIP Course
