Abstract
Chinese has become the world´s strong language, and also set off a trend of learning. How to improve teaching methods and strategies to effectively help non-native speakers to overcome the language barrier is very critical. with the popularity of the internet and e-learning, learning technologies has led the learning activities and environment into a multi-dimensional world. Recently, context aware technology is a new trend for developing a ubiquitous learning environment which features emphasize the real life learning situation and problem solving practice. in this study, integrating situated learning strategy and context awareness technology to develop an elementary Chinese language learning system for exchange students at a large university in north Taiwan. the pilot testing results show the exchange students highly satisfy this system and the learning attitude is also positive while using this system.
